TIPS Joins the TRAIN Learning Network

TIPS Master Series Program is now accessible to over 3 million health workers

The Infection Prevention Strategy (TIPS) is pleased to announce that the TIPS Master Series Program will now be accessible via the Public Health Foundation (PHF), TRAIN Learning Network. The TIPS Master Series Program provides free and accessible educational Master Class sessions on global health processes and issues. This new
partnership is in keeping with the TIPS mission to advance innovations, ideas, and processes through evidence-based science.

The TRAIN Learning Network includes 27 state health departments, five federal agencies, tribal agencies, nonprofits, academic institutions, and others. Altogether, TRAIN reaches more than 3 million health workers and brings together a community of partners dedicated to building a strong health workforce. TRAIN is free to access and take training for anyone, anywhere.

TIPS has taken the lead during the pandemic to provide free and accessible educational sessions discussing critical topics, including:

  • Airflow patterns and Flow Path of Airborne Particulates,
  • Addressing Air Quality in Medical and Dental Offices with a Focus on COVID-19
  • Protecting Medical Staff and Patients from COVID-19
  • Best Practices to Service Facilities for COVID-19
  • N95 Respirator Use, Disinfection and Re-use
  • How to Measure Clean? Myth and Facts of ATP
  • Surface Biofilm: Disinfection Challenges and New Approaches
  • C.difficile: New Trends and Prevention Strategies
  • Legionnaires’ Disease and other Waterborne Pathogens

In response to COVID-19, PHF and TRAIN have supported the release and dissemination of more than 300 new trainings and provided government agencies with contact tracing curricula and COVID-19 vaccine resources and materials.
