Peer Review on the TIPS Journal
Peer review makes sure that an article’s claims are supported by its data and that it is ready for publication. Articles submitted to the TIPS Journal for peer review go through a single-blind review by experts in the field: reviewers know who the authors are, authors do not know who the reviewers are, and the article stays confidential until it is published.
What reviewers look at
- Overall quality, readability and presentation
- Do the figures and tables support the findings?
- Are the methods appropriate for the research question?
- Is there enough data to draw a conclusion?
- Were the data interpreted correctly?
- Could other researchers repeat the study?
- Are the conclusions supported by the results?
Authors receive a report with a summary of the research, its strengths and weaknesses, any major issues that must be addressed, and minor suggestions for improvement.
Fees
Peer review costs $1,500 USD, charged only if the article is accepted, and we often waive it. The fee protects the time our reviewers and editors give to every manuscript. Perspective articles (not peer-reviewed) are free to publish. Submission does not guarantee publication.
Studies through Science to Market®
Need the science first? Through Science to Market®, TIPS helps design and run studies, trials and pilots, and connects you with the right laboratories and experts. Notable examples:
Peer Review and Publishing
We can turn your white paper or case study into a peer reviewed authoritative published document, indexed in GoogleScholar, Research Gate and other depositories. In fact, many of our published articles are republished in trade journals and other periodicals such as ISSA Today. Click here to view an example
The TIPS journal utilizes all the same depositories as other journals (ResearchGate, Google Scholar). However, unlike other journals the TIPS platform is consistently marketed to over 500 groups in social media. Since TIPS is Open Access, many of our articles and peer reviewed papers are republished in other popular trade magazines and journals.
